EMI Shielding Tape: How to Choose Conductive Fabric Tape
A practical guide to conductive cloth / EMI shielding tape — nickel-copper fabric, low contact resistance and die-cut EMI gaskets.
Conductive cloth tape grounds and shields electronics — phones, computers, wearables and automotive displays — against electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference (EMI/RFI). The mainstream material is nickel-copper plated fabric with a conductive adhesive.
The two numbers buyers care about
Low contact resistance and high shielding effectiveness (dB). Ask for both on the datasheet before you commit.
Die-cut gaskets
Conductive tape can be die-cut into custom EMI gaskets and shapes for connectors and enclosures. Because we run our own vacuum-metallisation line, we control the plating in-house. See conductive & EMI shielding tape.
