Technical datasheets — 53 tape and base-fabric models

Measured values taken straight from our own datasheets, model by model, with the revision date of each one. Nothing on this page is a range or a category figure: if a datasheet does not state a property, the cell is empty rather than filled in from a similar grade.

LV 312

LV 312 classes — what we can show, and what we cannot

Two of our harness grades carry class designations on their own datasheet, with the test standard printed next to each value. The rest of the range does not, and we do not estimate a class from a peel figure or an in-house temperature reading.

Why most models show “not classified”

An LV 312 class is the result of a specified test, not a property you can read off a datasheet. The acetate, nylon and conductive grades below report a 80 °C service temperature measured in-house on our own instruments — that is not an LV 312 temperature class, and we do not print one. Classification is done per tape model, on the construction actually supplied.

The four axes a harness drawing asks for

Temperature class, scrape abrasion (cited as ISO 6722 on our classified grade, and only meaningful with the mandrel diameter next to it), noise damping in dB, and flammability (cited as ISO 3795). Each is measured separately on the same model — a high temperature class says nothing about abrasion. Peel and tensile on those reports are cited to EN 1939 and EN 14410.

Need a class on a model that has none yet?

Tell us the model and the class your drawing calls for. We submit the construction for test and send you the report with the model number on it — we do not transfer another grade’s result onto it.

Frequently asked questions

How many tape models do you publish measured data for?

53 — every model for which we hold a current datasheet: 31 acetate cloth tape, 11 nylon / polyamide cloth tape, 3 conductive cloth tape (EMI), 3 PET fleece tape, 1 PET cloth harness tape, 4 woven base fabric (uncoated). Each row is reproduced from the manufacturer's datasheet for that model, with the revision date of the datasheet it came from.

Why do the acetate and nylon tapes all say 80 °C?

Because that is what their datasheets say. Those grades use an acrylic adhesive and their datasheets state an 80 °C service temperature measured in-house. The fleece and PET-cloth harness grades use a rubber adhesive system and are rated −40 °C to +105 °C, and K8026-00 to +150 °C. The difference is the adhesive system, not an inconsistency between datasheets.

Which models carry an LV 312 class?

K8030 and K75100-00. K8030's datasheet prints the test standard next to each value (LV 312 for temperature and noise damping, ISO 6722 for scrape abrasion, ISO 3795 for flammability, EN 1939 and EN 14410 for peel and tensile). K75100-00 states a noise-damping class and a burn rate without naming the standard. No other model in the range is classified, and we do not estimate a class from other parameters.

Which models are UL Recognized?

UL file E544340 covers tape type Z1V020 (fibre backing with acrylic adhesive). The datasheets for Z0V020-193 and Z1V120-193 also print that file number, but the certificate we hold lists type Z1V020 only, so we do not state UL recognition for those two models until the UL addendum listing the additional type designations is in hand.

Can I get the signed PDF datasheet and a sample?

Yes. Name the model and we send the signed datasheet, the RoHS and REACH declaration for that model with its revision date, and a free sample roll. Master rolls are slit to your width.

Are these values a specification I can accept goods against?

No. The data is for reference only and is not intended as a basis for product acceptance; for a special application, test and confirm before use. For incoming inspection, agree the parameters and tolerances on the signed datasheet for your order.
