Third-party test reports

15 reports from SGS-CSTC (Shenzhen) and Centre Testing International (Hangzhou), listed with the report number, the sample name the laboratory printed, the method and the limits stated on the report itself. A report covers the sample tested — nothing more — so the scope of each one is spelled out rather than implied.

The Chinese original names the sample 阻燃醋酸布胶带 — flame-retardant acetate cloth tape. The English page of the same report says "cotton". That is an error in the laboratory's own translation, reproduced here unaltered; the sample submitted was the flame-retardant acetate-cloth grade.

Flammability

Flammability

Burning behaviour measured to a published method.

Report no.LaboratorySample as named on the report IssuedResult & method
A2260546319101
Signed by Wesley Mao (approved signatory No. R49CCD354C)
Centre Testing International Corporation (Hangzhou) Flame retardant acetic acid cloth tape
Construction-level
2026-07-07
tested 2026-07-01 – 2026-07-07
All five specimens: afterflame t1 = 0 s, t2 = 0 s, afterglow t3 = 0 s; no flaming particles or drops; cotton indicator not ignited; no burning to the holding clamp. Meets the V-0 requirements.
Two limits stated on the report itself. First, only the room-temperature preconditioning set was run (23 ± 2 °C, 50 ± 10 % RH, ≥ 48 h); a full UL 94 V-0 classification also requires the aged condition set. Second, the laboratory prints that the data is "just for scientific research, education, internal quality control and product development". It is a third-party test to the UL 94 method — not a UL classification, not a UL file, and not a substitute for one.
Method: UL 94-2023 and client requirements; horizontal/vertical burning tester FRTS-UL94-A; flame height 20 ± 1 mm, two 10 ± 0.5 s applications; specimens 125 × 13 × 0.2 mm

What these reports do and do not prove

A test report is not a certification

A laboratory report states what was measured on a submitted sample on a given date. It is not a certificate, a listing or a mark, and it does not transfer to a different construction. Our certifications — IATF 16949, UL Recognized Component file E544340, OEKO-TEX and GRS — are listed separately on Quality & standards, with their issuers, numbers and dates.

Construction-level versus model-level

The sample is named on the report by product category, so the result covers that construction, not one model number. Four reports name a model and are marked model-level. Where your drawing requires the report to carry your model number, say so at enquiry and we submit that model — we do not re-label an adjacent grade’s report.

One code on these reports is a fabric, not a tape

The flame-retardant reports also cover V073-193 — the flame-retardant acetate base fabric, supplied uncoated. It is a fabric, not a finished tape, which is why it does not appear among the tape datasheets. Uncoated fabric is sold to converters who apply their own adhesive; see the base-fabric datasheets, and ask for V073-193 by name if you need the flame-retardant grade.

Measured values, not labels

Halogen results are given as measured concentrations with the reporting limit, not as a “halogen-free” claim, because the threshold depends on the specification you work to. The same applies to flammability: we publish the burn figures and the method, and let the specification decide.

Frequently asked questions

Are these reports for the exact model I am buying?

Read the Scope line. Where the laboratory printed a model number — K8030, K8026/75100, EP212-2110SS — the report is model-level. The rest name a product category, so they cover that construction and we present them that way. If your drawing needs a report in your model's name, we submit that model for test and send you the report with the number on it.

Do you hold a UL 94 V-0 classification?

No. We hold a third-party vertical-burn test to the UL 94 method (CTI report A2260546319101, 7 July 2026) in which all five specimens met the V-0 requirements with zero afterflame and no flaming drips. Two limits are printed on that report: only the room-temperature preconditioning set was run, and the laboratory states the data is for research and internal quality control. Separately we hold UL Recognized Component file E544340 under ANSI/CAN/UL 510A for tape type Z1V020 — that is a different standard and is not a UL 94 classification.

Is the tape halogen-free?

The reports give measured values rather than a label. On the six SGS reports of 7 May 2026 fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine were all not detected. On the CTI report for K8030 chlorine was 91 mg/kg with fluorine, bromine and iodine not detected; for K8026/75100 in black all four were not detected. Compare those figures against the threshold your specification uses — we do not apply the label on your behalf.

The two greige-fabric reports — are they the same cloth in two colours?

No, they are two different fibres. SZXEC26002546007_1 covers the polyester greige and SZXEC26002546011_1 covers the acetate greige. We weave and sell both, and a tape's properties follow the fibre its base cloth is woven from, so ask which one a given tape is built on rather than assuming.

Why does one report say "cotton"?

SGS report SZXEC26002546003_1 names the sample 阻燃醋酸布胶带 — flame-retardant acetate cloth tape — in Chinese and "Flame-retardant cotton cloth tape" in English. That is an error in the laboratory's own translation. We reproduce the report as issued rather than editing it, and have asked for a corrected English page.

How long is a report valid?

A test report has no expiry; it describes the sample tested on the date shown. We re-test on a yearly cycle and the renewal date in our own schedule is listed with each report, so you can see how current the data is.

Can I have the PDFs?

Yes — ask for the models you are quoting and we send the signed PDFs, in Chinese and English where both exist. Reports are reproduced only in full, as the laboratories require.

Need a report in your model’s name?

Tell us the model and the standard your drawing calls for. We submit that construction for test and send the report with the model number printed on it.
